I’m a Graduate Center Fellow and PhD student in Political Theory at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City, where I am also pursuing a graduate certificate in American Studies. I hold a BA and MA in Philosophy from Stony Brook University.
Before returning to academia, I tried my hand at many-a-trade. I did some development work in Nepal, wrote grants for international NGOs, and was in charge of business development and strategy for North America at the World Economic Forum. But I also spent several years in the golf industry, doing outside sales, working at golf courses, eventually earning a degree in golf course management. I worked in a lumber yard, painted homes, did construction, and, in between, I travelled.
Now I live in New York City with my wife — who patiently puts up with that fact that I’m both an adult and a student — and my dog — who was named after Woody Guthrie.
